Direct care service users

Users of these services will be people with a dementia, understanding this as serious multiple cognitive deficiencies causing major disturbances in their daily lives, any etiology being possible: Alzheimer’s, vascular dementias and others, both early onset and late onset types.

Temporary Stay Service users will be people affected and their families, with the specific requirements laid down in each of the programmes and fulfilling the following conditions:

  • Needing cohabitation support due to the critical situation in social and family relationships, making admission recommendable as a consequence of them suffering serious and prolonged dementia.
  • Having a reasoned admission proposal and a monitoring plan and health support from the Health and Social Services in their Autonomous Community or Associated Centres.
  • Accepting the specific conditions established for their use.

Day/Night Centre users will be people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias who are in the following situations:

  • Needing the specific degree of support this day or night service provides, thereby allowing them to remain in the family surroundings.
  • Having a reasoned admission proposal and a monitoring plan and health support from the Health and Social Services in their Autonomous Community or Associated Centres.
  • Accepting the specific conditions established for their use.

Reference service users

 According to the rules established, the following may use the reference services:

  • Care Centres and Services for people in dependency situations, both public and private ones: information, advice, training, exchange of best practices, and dissemination of technical standards.
  • Professional Associations, professionals in the area, planners and managers: information, technical assistance, exchanging experiences.
  • Study, research and teaching centres: Document Centre, Study and Research Fund, Training Products
  • Public Authorities and Bodies: information and technical assistance.
